Terry Mitchum Proveaux, 60, of St. George, SC, a former production assistant for DuPont, died Saturday at her residence.
Her funeral will be 11:00 AM Wednesday morning, July 18, 2012, in the Moncks Corner Pentecostal Holiness Church. Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park, N. Charleston. The family will receive friends at DIAL-MURRAY FUNERAL HOME, MONCKS CORNER, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM this Tuesday evening.
Mrs. Proveaux was born June 6, 1952, in Moncks Corner, SC, a daughter of John W. Mitchum, Jr., and Mary Mitchum Jones. She was a graduate of Hanahan High School and a member of the St. George Pentecostal Holiness Church. She was a licensed real estate agent and loved to hunt and fish. Mrs. Proveaux was the former owner and operator of Shooter’s Tackle Shop in Cross and Bell’s Restaurant in Eutawville.
Surviving are, her husband, Rev. J. Howard Proveaux; her mother of St. Stephen; a son, Toby Long of Summerville; a step son, Joseph H. Proveaux of N. Charleston; two step daughters, Sonia Smielus of N. Charleston and Tamara Proveaux and her husband, Joey, of Hanahan; two sisters, Sandra Ballard and Margie Sutton and her husband, Adam, all of Summerville; two half-brothers, Richard Murray of Moncks Corner and Jay Mitchum of Cross; her step mother, Anne Harley Mitchum of Cross; and ten step grandchildren.
